Privacy policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026
The Amigurumis is a site made for children aged 2 to 6 and for the families watching with them. So we built it backwards from the usual approach: instead of asking what data we could collect, we asked how little we could work with. The answer was almost none, and this page explains exactly which.
What we do not do
We do not ask you to register or create an account. There is no user, no password and no profile.
There are no forms on the site, so there is nowhere to leave us your name, your email, your age or your child’s.
We use no analytics tools of our own. There is no Google Analytics, no social media pixels and no heatmaps.
The site stores nothing in your browser on its own account.
The cookies that do exist, and whose they are
Two third-party services may set cookies when you visit, and neither of them is ours.
Google AdSense is what shows the ads and what keeps the site free. Google may use cookies to count impressions, limit how often you see the same ad and detect fraud.
YouTube, when you play one of the videos embedded on the song and story pages. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which reduces what is sent until you press play.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The site keeps working: the only difference is that ads may look less relevant.
Advertising and children
This site is directed to children and we declare it as such to Google. The concrete consequence is that the ads shown here are not personalised: they are not chosen from an interest profile or from the browsing history of whoever is watching.
That reduces what we earn from advertising. It is a deliberate decision.
We also do not allow automatic ads, the ones Google would place on its own wherever it saw fit. Every ad space on this site is placed by hand, always after the content, always labelled as advertising, and never on top of a video or next to a button.
The videos
Songs and stories play from YouTube. When you press play, YouTube’s and Google’s terms and privacy policy also apply, and we have no control over those.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the date in the header. If the change were significant, for example if we ever began collecting any data, we will say so visibly and not in a hidden line.
